It’s so nice hearing from friend’s on the road and I just had to share this nice shot captured by a member of the Linnea’s Lights family. Chrissy was in Naples, Florida and snapped this photo of our candles at Jett Thompson Antiques. What a beautiful shop and of course we love the display! How fun to see our candles (and new, larger triple wicks) out in the wild.

Where have you spotted Linnea’s Lights candles lately?

Sprung for Spring

I think we can all agree it’s been one long winter and I’ve been looking for signs of Spring wherever I go. I can JUST begin to make out the tips of a few green buds beginning to peek out in the garden here and I’m so looking forward to seeing some colorful blooms.

In the meantime, I came across these cheerful rainbow cakes by the talented Flour Shop and thought it was just the pop of color I needed today! Don’t they cheer you right up?

I’m also excited to see our new Spring/Summer 2014 collection begin to hit shops. Geranium, Eucalyptus and Persian Lime are all available now! Such lovely pick-me-ups, I hope you’ll enjoy them as much as I do.

Happy Spring!

Luckily, some of our largest candles are now on sale to help warm you up, wherever you are! Try our large, 18-ounce, triple-wick candle in our lovely Winter scent and enjoy the extended 85-95 hour burn time.

Our take on Winter is a divine blend of cedar spruce and mint topped off with hints of cranberries and cinnamon- a best seller year after year. And can I tell you a secret? It’s now discounted over on orangeandpear.com! Scoop one up today and shiver no more.

Upgrade Your Thanksgiving Table Settings

As I prepare for Thanksgiving next week, I’ve been hunting for new table setting inspirations from around the web and in all my favorite magazines. One trend I’ve noticed? Candles! It’s true, there’s just something about a Thanksgiving table that calls out for beautiful, cozy candles. I liked some of these decorating ideas from Real Simple, which style speaks to you? For me, I’m all about the vintage mishmash and I think I’ll pair it with our new Wood candle, a terrain-exclusive pour. This sizable candle is scented with sweet, musky sandalwood and housed into a rugged, bark-covered vessel. I can’t wait to see how it all comes together and so looking forward to time with great friends, family and food!

Halloween is one of my favorite events to celebrate with the kids, but somehow it always seems to sneak up on me! This year I’m scrambling for last minute decorations, and you can’t beat Martha Stewart for inspiration…

Since we always have plenty of candles around (imagine that!), a go-to craft is carved pumpkin luminaries. Here are some easy instructions, along with a few other ideas for outdoor Halloween decorations, to help inspire:

Exploring London Town

Images courtesy of Laura Cler

I am currently in London meeting with friends and vendors and I have been looking forward to this trip all Summer! I’ll take any excuse to hop the pond, and have so been enjoying my short time abroad.

This morning I stopped into Borough Market where I enjoyed some delicious paella and couldn’t help but gaze at all the beautiful fresh fruits, flowers and veggies. Later on, I walked on the south bank along the Thames, took in the Tate Modern with its inspiring showing of Saloua Raouda Choucair (the world’s first major museum exhibition of this remarkable Lebanese artist). Afterwards I enjoyed the view from the Millennium Bridge and couldn’t help but marvel at my luck with the beautiful weather here!

I’ve been lucky enough to visit a few other great spots, some of them UK vendors for Linnea’s Lights, including: Les Choix de RomyHeal’s, Luma, Lipp Interiors, The Birdcage, and Graham & Green, were some highlights.  They are all so lovely! Now I’m off to enjoy my last few days here, and please let me know of anything I must see or do before heading home.
